Our 2008 Coastal Merlot is a blend of Merlot from our Estate vineyard and several other vineyards in the South Coast region of California. it was barrel aged in both French and American Oak for approximately two years. It is medium-bodied and has bright, red fruit character Enjoy now or cellar two to four years.

Our 2006 Estate Ambassador’s tier Merlot is the last wine our founding winemaker, Leon Santoro made before his untimely death in 2009. In honor of Leon Santoro, we commemorate his last 50 cases with this extremely limited bottling. Every bottle is individually numbered 1-600, and retains the high caliber of quality and style Santoro was known for.

This Merlot is rich and refined with flavors of cherry, mocha and blueberry with hints of violet. Selected from blocks of our Estate Vineyards on gently sloping hillsides, this wine exemplifies the terroir of the San Pasqual Valley and Leon's dedication to winemaking. A wonderful warm-climate varietal, Montepulciano, was planted at Orfila in 2005.  2009 is our first release of this new exciting red wine.  With bright berry aromas and flavors, this wine is vibrant and youthful.  It has a nice balance of tannin and acidity with some spicy characteristics as it finishes. Enjoy now through 2020.

The inaugural offering of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium-bodied red with enticing hints of cedar, cherry and bell pepper on the nose. This well balanced Cab has flavors of Bing cherry, pomegranate, anise, and ends with a nice lengthy finish. Enjoy now or cellar one to six years.
